- Debut in the NRL in 2009 as an 18-year-old
- 2010 and 2012 represented the Australian Junior Rugby League Team, was captain in 2012
On March 24th 2014, Alex suffered a career ending spinal injury while playing against the Melbourne Storm. The injury finished his NRL career and left him unable to walk.
